Plasma Diagnostics
Electrical-Optical-Thermal-Gaseous platform
In-situ diagnostic is one of the most important experimental approaches to characterise the real plasma. Our team employed a synchronised electrical-optical-thermal-gaseous in-situ diagnostic platform to provide a comprehensive view of the spatial and temporal evolution of the plasma. In terms of electrical parameters, voltage and current waveforms were obtained by voltage and current probes, and a high-voltage non-inductive resistor as a sampling resistor was also available as a means of obtaining the discharge current. High-speed imaging and optical emission spectroscopy were performed to investigate the optical characteristics, and high-speed Schlieren technology was set to visualise the flow in discharges, in particular the convection process between the gas flow and the plasma. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) as a method for characterizing the relative intensities of active particles. The gas chromatograph and the nondispersive infrared sensor were arranged at the gas outlet to analyse the composition of gas mixtures.
