Plasma Diagnostics
Electrical-Optical-Thermal-Gaseous platform
In-situ diagnostic is one of the most important experimental approaches to characterise the real plasma. Our team employed a synchronised electrical-optical-thermal- gaseous in-situ diagnostic platform to provide a comprehensive view of the spatial and temporal evolution of the plasma. In terms of electrical parameters, voltage and current waveforms were obtained by voltage and current probes, and a high-voltage non-inductive resistor as a sampling resistor was also available as a means of obtaining the discharge current. High-speed imaging and optical emission spectroscopy were performed to investigate the optical characteristics, and high-speed Schlieren technology was set to visualise the flow in discharges, in particular the convection process between the gas flow and the plasma. The gas chromatograph and the nondispersive infrared sensor were arranged at the gas outlet to analyse the composition of gas mixtures.
